Hi Diane-
How are you?! Hope all is well! I wanted to send you some pictures of our little boy Gunner to show you how he has grown! We love him more than we can say, he has the best personality and is so much fun!
He loves to be outside and run around our yard, he loves to chew sticks and play at the dog park. He does so well with other dogs and staying by us when we take him. He is great with meeting new people and is learning his commands very well...although he does have his naughty toddler moments! He loves his toys and his relationship with his sister Peanut (our cat) is still growing...he wants to play with her but she would rather lay around and relax :)
He is currently teething and has been for the last few weeks, he has lost just about half of his baby teeth and now weighs 50lbs! He has a beautiful healthy coat that does not go un-noticed by our friends and family who have commented on it! He still has a white patch on his chest which we love, and as of last week his front paws just started turning tan as they have been white this whole time! His back paws are still white and we are hoping they stick around....we LOVED that unique feature! :)
Little update on his pee pee issue- he did not need surgery and healed very well. We are still monitoring it to make sure his prepus continues to grow with him so his penis does not hangout...this would require a very expensive reconstructive surgery :( So we are still praying he grows healthy into his full grown adult size!

Hi Diane,
This is our beautiful 12 wk old pup we got from you! His name is Crosby, and we love him so much! He is very smart, loyal and loves to nap and play!

Diane,

Hi. Thank you very much for entrusting us with one of your puppies. We have been home for about 4 hours. We gave him a bath. He doesn't know what to think of our cats. He wants to play but doesn't like the hissing sound they make. He is settling in nicely. He is very tired from his adventure today. Here are a couple of pictures from his first day. We will send you more as he grows.
Thanks again,

Hi there Diane,
Just wanted to send you a couple pix of Luna my GSD I got from you last April. My friend and I came down from Baraboo, Wi and took the last two you had of this litter. Hopefully you remember Karl and Miranda Bachli. The puppy pic you sent me originally, then it's a few months older and the bottom a year old, with our other dog : ) She has grown so much and still has some growing to do. She is going to be tall like her dad! She is very smart, loves to run, play and cuddle. Very protective of me. She's my baby. Very talkative, she will crack you up if you listen to her play with the other dog. Yet she's got a very deep bark when something or someone gets her
Attention. Lol. She is a great dog and I'm so happy I got her from you!!! Thanks again!!!!

Our family thought it would be a good idea to let you know how our puppies are doing. Piper(black and red), Jetta(black) are from the Oct 6th litter from Yetta and Remi. When we picked them up they were about two months old and 20lbs each. They are currently 4 months old now and have almost hit 50lbs each. Our pups are growing up so fast. We have them in obedience class and both are in the top of their class. So eager to learn new things. They have became a great addition to our family. They are both beautiful, intelligent and healthy dogs. We couldn't be more pleased with these wonderful pups and are grateful for the exceptional breeding.

Thanks,

Hi Diane. (email sent 3-25-2014)
We purchased a pup from you in October that we have named Rex. He is an awesome dog and we are just crazy about him!!!! I was thinking about registering him with the AKC as a limited alternative purebred so we can compete in agility and or rally competitions, but i wanted to make sure that he is not registrable with normal AKC papers...i know we didnt get any papers when we purchased him so I was not sure if he was papered or not.

Just a quick update....we finished with basic odedience at Tops training in Grayslake - they train the Lake County police K9s - we had the highest score in class, we begin intermediate obedience in 2 weeks and hope to start an obstacle class next month as well. We are having so much fun with him....so very smart!!! He just had his surgery ( neutering ) last week so we are still on restricted activities.

I hope all is going well with you and would love to keep in touch. My husband has starting talking about getting another pup and we both agree that your pups are the best!!! :-)

Look forward to hearing from you.

Remy is now Wolf. The white dog is Teddy, but the names were too close and my nephew’s children were calling him Little Wolf, so Wolf stuck. My last German Shepherd was Lucas, and whenever they came over they wanted to go see “The Wolf”. He is doing great....still very rambunctious!!! He has definitely made himself at home! He had his second shots Friday and is now 22.5 pounds! The staff at our vet’s office loved him, too!
Thanks again, and I’ll send more pictures as he grows.

Hi Diane, (January 27,2014)
Just wanted to update you on Achilles, his birthday was January,3rd 2014. We brought him home at 15lbs, he's now 106 lbs. What can we say that you don't already know, his intelligence is superior bar none, he flew through his agility training ( He seemed bored at times it came so easy for him)he is also in his last stages of his search and rescue training. From day one we have told you how pleased and happy the whole family is to have him in our lives, We have had three people ( That approached us on the street) purchase pups from you, and, they have had the same results. Thank you, and we are for ever great full. We added some pictures of his growth.

         Hi Diane. (December 26, 2013)

We wanted to Wish you a Merry Christmas. Wr have so much to share about Rex with you. Thought this would be a perfect time to update you. Rex is huge. At 4 months he is 45pds. The vet said he is perfect. He actually took pictures of him to send to a family member. We get so many compliments everywhere we go. His ears played the dancing game for a while but they are now up and have been for about a week. He has very large ears lol so it took a while. He is a great dog. So loving and very watchful and protective already of our three kids. He is a mouthy little boy but he is a pup and a shepherd. A friend of mine who has a k-9 shepherd said they are affectionatley known as land sharks lol. We know he will grow out of it. He is still a baby and he is just exploring. He doesn't bite and has never left a mark. It is funny because he is extra gentle with the kids especially our 2 year old. She for some reason is his favorite. He has so much patience with her. We love him oh so much. He is so well behaved when we have family over. He doesn't jump on people well except for my dad but he had really bonded with him lol and actually cries when he comes over. Rex is very vocal too its so funny he literally talks. He has excelled in obedience and actually will be the youngest puppy to start his class for akc cgc title. We plan on titling him in akc obedience. We are also going to try search and rescue, treiball, and maybe some agility. He shows strong points in all fields.Whichever one he excels in and he enjoys is what we will stick with. He loves having a job. He even gets the mail now. I am not sure if your dogs come from working lines but it definitely shows in him. I grew up with Shepherds and he has been the smartest. My dad agrees. He knows all his basic obedience and beyond. My favorite is the front command. When we say front he comes and sits right in from of us and waits for his next command. We have a great private trainer. She has been training Rex since he was 8 weeks old. Now he will go into a public class at our local Kennel Club which is well known for their training. Rex has also learned to ring a bell with his nose when he needs to go potty outside. This way we can hear him when we are in another part of the house. I cant say enough about him. I hope others who adopt your dogs let them have their full potential. Yes they are great family dogs but it is such a waste not take your dog to their potential. Shepherds are meant to have jobs. Rex is the epitome of the breed. Thank you for such a great dog. Hope you continue to breed excellence for the years to come. As one day we will add to our family again. I have included some pictures. Please let the DeMarco's know how well he is doing. Can you forward this to them so the girls can see how well their "chubby" little boy is doing. I apologize some of the quality of a few of the pics aren't so great because they were taken off my camera screen.

Thanks again & talk soon,

Thought I’d share a picture of Lola. She was a pup born on September 19th. I believe one of Yeata’s puppies. I forget who her daddy is though. After the vet listened to your advice, her poop problem has been just fine. She is a very lively pup that should be named PITA. She loves to dig and take TP from the bathrooms and run around the house. She is so beautiful and when she tilts her head, it is hard to stay mad at her.
Happy New Year!

Hi Diane:  (EMAIL SENT 9-23-2013)

I wanted to send you a picture of "Mojo". On her way to a Homecoming
Dance, our daughter could not resist taking pictures with her
beautiful baby. He has certainly grown from the little 8 pound puppy
we brought home - almost 24 pounds now! He is beautiful and well-
loved and is having a blast following, imitating, and generally
tormenting our Blue Heeler "Blue" (although Blue lets him know when
enough's enough)! He is a very good puppy and will grow into a great
dog. The groundwork you provided with him from birth was tremendous
and gave us a head start with potty training, and training and
obedience in general. He comes immediately when we whistle and lets
us know when he has to go "outside". He also knows his name and will
sit on command both verbal and with a finger snap. He is not quite as
consistent with giving us his paw to shake, but that will come with
time. After all, he is barely twelve weeks old! I will send more
pictures as Mojo grows.
Sincerely,
Carin Olah

I wanted to tell you how happy we are with a puppy we got from you in December 2012. Everywhere we go, people comment on what a beautiful German Shepherd he is. He has recently started obedience training. Everyone from the staff, to the K9 police officer, to the other dog owners, has told us how handsome he is. Many people have asked where I got him. I tell them about you. Thank you for being such a conscientious dog breeder.

I think he resembles Kasmine with Remington's long hair.

Hi Dianne, (Email sent 8-25-2013)
We just wanted to thank you for your time on Saturday. The boys were so excited to tell everyone about our visit. My youngest son told everyone we are getting a cop police dog. Lol. They are so excited. We got our mud room all cleaned out so he will have a place to stay while we are gone. I too would rather not crate him. We are not gone for long periods of time anyways. All your dogs are so wonderful. My parents have talked about it. They may also be interested in a dog. I hope to bring my mom with next time we come. I think they would be interested in an older puppy if you have one at the time. My father and I can't get over how much remmington reminds us of our Tucker. It almost choked both of us up. I can't tell you how happy we are to get one of his pups. My son is so excited to pick from 4 boys. He thinks he is pretty special so thank you for that. When you have more pictures of the boys as they get bigger could you send some pics. You cansend them text or email. Whatever is easier and if you have time as well. It will be exciting for the kids to seem the grow. What date will they be ready to go home. I am planning my work schedule for October now so I can make sure I am off the first week we bring him home. Hope you had a great weekend and found more puppy homes :)
Thanks so much,

Dear Diane, (Email sent 7-25-2013)
My fiance and I drove to your beautiful place this last Easter and picked the most amazing dog I have ever owned. She was eight weeks old when we got her and now she is almost 6 months. She is not just a beautiful German Shepherd she is smart, full of love and so fun to be with. She has completed 2 months of formal training in the basics, heel, sit, stay etc… and wow is she smart! I have always loved all the dogs I have had but Maxi is the smartest one, especially as a puppy still. She stays next to me off leash at the dog park and loves other dogs and people. I can’t tell you how much she means to both of us. When we have to leave her as soon as we get home we get long greetings with kisses and affection. She has become my shadow as my fiance works a lot of hours, so I have done all of the training myself. I have recently introduced her to swimming and she LOVES the water.
We just want to tell you how she is doing and thank you for breeding such a wonderful dog.

Hi Diane, (Email sent 7-11-2013)

I can't even begin to explain how much we have fallen in love with our puppy. We named her Alabama "Bama" for short. She is so smart and already knows sit, stay, and come and is starting puppy classes next week. I can't believe how much she has grown in just the last 2 weeks too. Darrell and I wanted to thank you so much for letting us come back and visit every week and for the opportunity to take home the puppy the caught our attention from day 1. Her right ear stood up about a week ago which makes for some cute pictures! She is absolutely adorable. I will continue to send pictures as she grows up. These 2 picture are from the day we brought her home at 8 weeks and today at 10 weeks.

Thanks again,

Hi Diane! (email sent 4-25-2013)
This is Kristal Hernandez; my husband and I picked up a puppy from you on Good Friday. A male, sable colored german shepherd, and we named him Bishop. Hope you and your family are well! I wanted to keep in touch with you and let you know how he is doing...we love this lil guy so much! He is over 20 lbs and will be 3 months old in a few days. His ears started to stand a week ago and he looks very handsome (though I do kinda miss how the one ear tip flopped over, haha). He loves my kids and is slowly earning my cats' trust :)
This being our first dog of our own, we are learning with him. He is almost fully potty trained to go outside and knows 5 commands- he learns extremely fast. Full of energy but takes regular naps still. Besides the teething, he is a really good dog, lol. He doesn't chew furniture tho, just feet haha.
I will contact you in a another month or so to let you know how he has grown! He seemed to double his puppy size in 2 weeks!
Sincerely,
Kristal H.

Just wanted to touch base with you and let you know how Achilles is doing. We picked him up on 02/23/13 he was 10 lbs and one ear up, today he is 12 wks and 32 lbs both ears standing and smart as ever. He loves his two brothers and sister, they do everything together and I mean everything! He has been to the vet twice now for his shots and check ups. The vet loves him as we all do, We can not thank you enough, Achilles is the poster dog for GSD, smart, loving, friendly, and now becoming protective of his home and family. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you, you are breeding the most complete companion anyone could hope for.

I have attached some photos of Achilles. The first photo is Achilles at 9wks, Then at 12wks 30 lbs, last one is Achilles and his best bud Oreo.

Hi Diane, (E-mail sent 1-18-2013)
It's been one month with our puppy, Sarge, and we couldn't be happier. He is a sweet and playful puppy. He is tolerant of all five of our kids and their friends. He loves playing with our cat and neighborhood dogs. He's very gentle with our cat who he now outweights by 12 pounds. Sarge is 20 lbs as if today. He met our Vet this morning and the vet couldn't say enough about his looks.
We have about 600 pictures of him, literally lol. Here is a few if you want to see more you can look me up on Facebook since that's our bragging board.
I'm glad we waited as long as we did to get a puppy and so glad we found you. We will be back in a few years for another for sure. Our experience could not have been better. Thanks for working with us and letting us have that extra week.

I hope you can attach this with the pictures we sent you of King. We are so happy to have King as part of our family. He is a gorgeous sweetheart and we already love him. King is huge and weighed 18 pounds at 8 and a half weeks!!!! His paws are massive! We are looking forward to seeing him grow. He has the most loving eyes and we can tell he will be an amazing part of our family!!! Thank you so much Diane for letting us see king every week until we took him home. That was a wonderful part of this experience. You take excellent care of your animals including your dogs and puppy's. We are happy we know where he came from and that he was always taken care of since birth. WHAT A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE!!!! Thank you again Diane!!! We will update photos as he grows!!!!

Hi Diane – (E-mail sent 11-16-2012)

I wanted to shoot you an email with a few pictures of Maggie (aka Rosey). She is doing great! We are so in love with her. She started puppy class last Saturday & did great! She was so good with all the smaller puppies in her class. The teacher stopped us after class & told us how smart she is (which we already know J ). We took both dogs (our 14 yr old shepherd, Zander & Maggie) down south to my parents place last weekend too. They have two 8 yr old white shepherds. Their female LOVED Maggie! Maggie loved having a playmate for the day. We will be down there a lot (they have 5 acres for the dogs to play on). Thanks for allowing us to bring this beautiful little girl into our lives. She is definitely loved! I will keep you updated on her progress & growth with pictures. Hope you are doing great! Have a wonderful holiday!

Just a quick note to let you know Teagan is doing great, she is ornery, but she is a good girl and we love her.She is Julie's "little buddy". Attached some recent pictures. She has fun raking the leaves, and like Lacy, she really enjoys our nightly walks. 35 Lbs at the last vet visit. Hope all is well with you and yours.

Hi Diane,

Here is Max's story:  (E-mail sent 7-8-2011)

Our names are Ayn & Henry Farmer. We  bought our puppy on January 11, 2011 from Diane. Our last GSD, Quake, passed December of 2010. We agreed to wait until spring before looking for another dog; but were lonely.  My husband spoke with Diane during the day, and by evening we were on our way to Monee Illinois. It was great fun to see the little balls of fur stumble onto the porch. We watched, played, and asked questions. My husband claimed we were just looking, but we left with a male puppy that night. He was very calm during the ride back to Aurora, Illinois. That night as he followed me into the computer room I looked at hoping a name would come to me. The first name that came to me was Jackson. Unfortunately that name had been taken by a relative who recently died.  So I looked at puppy & Maximillion came to mind. Max is our 4th German Shepherd.
Max is a winter dog. He loved the snow. He played in it; laid in it; and of course ate it whenever he got the chance.  He got lost in big snow drifts. Our neighbors love him. At 4 months we enrolled him in a Beginner Education class at our local PetSmart (since I'm there all the time). Max graduated from Beginner Education on March 19, 2011 (see picture). We then signed up for the Intermediate Education class. When Max began the Intermediate class he was the smallest puppy. By graduation, May 1, 2011, he was the biggest puppy in class. By this time he wanted to take charge & had outgrown PetSmart classes. I received a referral for the German Shepherd Club in Havover Park, Illinois. We began to take him to those classes. He is behaving much better & I like the fact that the instructors understand German Shepherds. He has been affectionately named ‘the-long-hair’ and everyone who sees him thinks he is beautiful.  He has a great temperment & personality. I was thinking about training him to be a therapy dog. But now we are looking into showing him, and agility training. Here is his latest picture at 7 ½ months, 67 lbs.  Enjoy.

Hello Diane,
It’s been awhile, my apologies, been busy. Lacy is doing great!
She sings when I play my harmonica, likes to swing, loves the snow, and likes going for walks in the forest preserve where she gets many compliments and where we see “monsters” (deer).

Very happy with her, she has a great personality. The vet, with a big smile, said she is spoiled, he is a shepherd fan, he says that’s all he’s ever owned, keeps threatening to steal her! She went to puppy school with my wife, they said she was a show quality dog, wanted to know where she got her. Lacy is a great dog.
Yes, you can use me as a reference.
We don’t have a scale, I guess we should get one, her last vet visit was 48 lbs, my guess is she is about 55 lbs right now. He said he doesn’t need to see her again until she is about 1 year.
Take care!
Phil Doyle

Dear Diane,

I just wanted to send you an update on Serge, the pup we purchased in March of this year.

He is FANTASTIC!

As you can see from his picture, he has grown quite a bit. He is 9 months and 80lbs, and not a pound overweight, per his vet. He still has a bit of growing to do, his growth plates are still open, and his paws are HUGE! My vet was also impressed with his conformation, his PennHip results came back last week and we were very happy with them. He will have his OFA grading done when he is 2 years, per their requirements.

His training is going well, his trainer Sean loves him. We are not sure if we are going to do Cadaver, Arson or Search and Rescue, but Agility is definitely on the agenda, Serge is super-versatile.  I have never had a German Shepherd, and was never really keen on getting one, but Serge has made me see why people love these dogs. He is so good with people, other dogs, and our horses, but is the first to alert us of someone at the door, and is my guardian outside at night, or walking through the forest preserve.

Thank you so much for the opportunity to buy Autumn Acres Dorsey's Storm Serge! I will keep you updated on his training and showing, and will be out to visit with him this summer!

Always,

Gayle and Todd
